Each year, over the last four decades, the Lincoln Arts Council presents the Mayor’s Arts Awards to honor artists, arts organizations and arts programming in our community. This year’s celebration will be held Monday, November 8th at the Johnny Carson Center for Emerging Media Arts.

Mayor Gaylor Baird and the Lincoln Arts Council will pay tribute to the winners who will each receive an original art piece by local artist Danny Reneau.
It’s easy to make individual reservations or to purchase a table. If you choose to purchase a table but are unable to fill all ten seats, let us help! Simply write “gift” on the lines for your guest reservations and we will complete the seating. You will make it possible for students, artists and arts organizations staff to come who otherwise would not be able to attend.
COVID Vaccination or Negative Test Requirement for Event:
After much research and discussion regarding keeping everyone safe, we are announcing that we will be requiring all staff, crew and attendees to provide either:
1. Proof of COVID vaccination
2. Negative COVID test within 72 hours of the event
In addition, our staff and crew will be masked during the event, and we suggest and encourage attendees to do the same. You may bring in your physical vaccination card or negative test if you wish, but a photo of either will also suffice. Please also be prepared to show a photo ID with the name matching the one on the vaccination or test proof. We thank you for your continued support and understanding as we all navigate these unfamiliar waters the best we can.
